Do you know what it means when it snows on the first day of winter?

Neither do I! But I did enjoy seeing the snow yesterday morning. You can disagree with me, but I know the truth: Snow is great!

2 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭says, “As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.”

We can disagree about snow, but the truth of God’s Word isn’t up to you or me. We can try to “wrest” it, to change or manipulate it to be something that we like better or makes more sense to us, but that never changes reality.

When we don’t like something the Bible says, we’re the one who needs to change.

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ says, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

It’s about digging in to what we NEED not finding a way to hear only what we WANT to hear.
