We always open stockings on Christmas Eve. We don’t always wear them, but that was fun too!
Our family loves the fun of Christmas, and we make sure to emphasize the true meaning of Christmas most of all.
John 1:10-12 says, “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
Jesus really did come to earth. We remember that He came to earth and why He came to earth: To pay for our sins on the cross to offer salvation to all. Even though He rose again, many still rejected Him back then. And no matter how many still reject Him today, His free gift of salvation is available to all.
The fact that Jesus came for you and wants you to be in His family is enough to make this a very Merry Christmas!
