I think our garden is pretty much officially done for the year. We are thankful to be able to have all those leaves on it to help get it ready for next year.
Acts 17:18 says, “Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.”
Paul had been teaching people about Jesus. Some were at least curious about Jesus and wanted to hear more, but others seemed to be thinking something like, “Nonsense! We know all the gods already!” But Jesus wasn’t another fake god. He’s the one true God. Even if that group heard more, I don’t think they ever really listened.
We will never learn all there is to know about God. We need to keep learning and growing.
Instead of getting mad at God, rejecting Him, or even questioning His existence when He doesn’t fit the box we are trying to fit Him into, let’s keep learning and keep growing in our relationship with Him.
