We enjoy trying weird, new, unknown stuff sometimes, but it was also fun to eat these FaveREDS Starbursts where we knew what we’d be getting.
Mark 14:18-19 says, “And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me. And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?”
It wasn’t some mystery to Judas: Sadly he had already made his plan to betray Jesus. The other disciples there at the Last Supper were worried that they just might do something terrible, but we really don’t fall into sin. We might tragically jump headfirst into it. Or we might slowly step inch by inch into sin. But it never happens without our involvement.
Instead of being afraid that we might do some horrible thing, let’s guard our hearts and minds, keep our lives pure, and stay busy doing the right things.
And let’s make sure the Holy Spirit is leading us inside and out as we guard the direction and focus of our hearts, not just our actions.
