It’s easy to be bold during a week off

Gators don’t play this weekend, but I represent my team either way. Sometimes it’s easier than others.

I wonder what an “off week” for standing boldly for Christ looks like? Maybe when you’re the only one. Maybe when it’s not popular. Maybe when it’ll cost us a friendship or something else.

Matthew‬ ‭20‬:‭30‬-‭34‬ ‭says, “And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David. And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you? They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.”

I love their boldness! They were getting Jesus’ attention no matter what it took. Others could try to stop them, but that didn’t matter

If people or things can stop us from going to Jesus for salvation or daily relationship, they probably will. We need to get to the point where we’re crying out to Jesus and following Him no matter what.
