A little broken but still useful

We weren’t home to hear the crack and the crash, but the wind brought down that huge branch in our back yard on Monday.

Our neighbor has generously offered to help us cut it up, and we’re looking forward to using it for a bonfire at our church picnic in a couple weeks.

It’s a mess right now but can become something useful.

Matthew‬ ‭9‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ says, ‭“And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise, he said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.”

I’m sure they stopped laughing when that girl got back up after Jesus raised her from the dead.

Jesus doesn’t just see who we are but also who we can be with His help.

Gideon was hiding and just trying to survive when God called Him a mighty man of valor.

David’s own family saw Him as nothing more than an overlooked shepherd when God saw a warrior and a king.

Maybe you’re down right now. Let Jesus show you where you can get with His help.
