We’re definitely enjoying the cruise! I got to thinking today how the parts of this ship can’t float on their own (I know, I’m a nerd!). But together the parts come together to not only stay afloat but to make up a pretty amazing cruise ship.

Ephesians 4:15-16 says, “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”

We need each other.

Christ is the head, our Leader and Savior.

The whole body (Christians, the church) works best when it works together.

There’s increase and building when we come together over what matters most instead of letting little things sink our joy and effectiveness. As an over-analytical person, I can easily notice the clouds in any silver lining, but when we focus on the good that Jesus is doing in our lives and through our lives, we can come together and be a part of something special. We can not only stay afloat: We can move forward for the cause of Christ.
