Not too late to start

Since it was the 7th day of school, we thought we should probably start going! Our cruise that’s been planned since long before we moved to PA kept us away during the first 6 days, but the girls were excited for their first day of 3rd and 4th grades, and Jen and I had great days teaching our classes.

It felt kind of weird starting late, but better late than never, right?!? Today is the perfect time to get started no matter how long you’ve put off something important.

Ezekiel‬ ‭11‬:‭16‬-‭18‬ ‭says, “Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come. Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel. And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and you all the abominations thereof from thence.”

A lot of the same principles that were true of Israel during their time of exile are also true of us.

God offered to be a little sanctuary for them right where they were—a spiritual sanctuary they could run to wherever they were. He’s here too. If you’ve never come to Him for salvation, He would love for you to make that decision today.

If you are already a Christian, He offers forgiveness and sanctuary right in the middle of whatever mess we might find ourselves in (even if that mess is our fault like it was for Israel back then).

Are you willing to come to God? If so, it’s not too late.
