What do you see first?

Messy hair or maybe just RAIN! Or a whole bunch of buckets!

We’re very thankful for this wonderful rain God has sent today, and it’s become almost a game for us to collect as much rainwater as we can to use on our garden.

Whether it’s a picture or something else, it’s interesting what stands out to us. It often comes down to what we are looking for.

Matthew 12:39 says, “But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:”

Jesus was responding to scribes and Pharisees, people who almost all rejected Him. Instead of looking to Him for hope and salvation, they examined His teachings to find something they could argue against. Even though Jesus’ teachings were perfect and helpful, what stood out to them was anything they could be against.

They had already been given many miraculous signs proving Who Jesus is, and there comes a point when our rejection of what we’ve already seen or read proves that we will continue to reject whatever else we see Him do or read about in the Bible.

I hope we’ll all look to the Bible as God’s Word, the roadmap for our lives and God’s revelation for us giving us just what we need for today and every day.
