What’s your dream home look like?

I’m very thankful for our home. I have things I enjoy in a home, but I think a dream home has a lot more to do with WHO is in it than the square footage or amenities. And even if you live alone, God being in your home is most important.

2 Chronicles 8:11 says, “And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come.”

That should be exactly where he would want himself and his wife to live!

But he knew. He knew he was supposed to only marry a Godly woman not just a woman who could help him militarily.

And wouldn’t you know it, 1 Kings 11:4 records the sad end of Solomon’s decision to separate his marriages (yes sadly VERY plural) from God: “For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.”

If we separate parts of our lives for ourselves and away from God, it won’t end well.

Let’s give it all to God and see what He does with put lives. We won’t wanna miss it!

That can be a dream home no matter where we live.
