More there than meets the eye

Since we bought this truck last November, we’ve learned that there was a lot more to it than meets the eye (a lot more damage that is!) God has been good and helped us in getting it fixed up, but sometimes it’s hard to see everything that’s going on, good or bad.

2 Kings 6:15-17 says, “And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.”

I’m not sure I’ve ever been surrounded by an angelic army like that (certainly not that I’m aware of!), but I know God does a lot to take care of us every single day and promises to never leave us or forsake us.

A person of faith often gets to see what God is doing and trusts Him even when they can’t see what’s next.

Even before we see God answer our prayer or deliver us, we can trust that He’s there working all things out for our good and His glory.
