Taking time to remember the sacrifice of so many men and women who died for our freedoms helps us never forget the value of those freedoms.
And Taking time to remember Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection for our sins helps us to stay motivated and thankful. Luke 22:19 says, “And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.”
And taking time to remember the Holy Spirit Who empowers us as Christians helps us move forward with purpose and hope.
John 14:26-27 says, “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Happy Memorial Day! May we take time to remember every day.
