It’s “treating” our cat Boots well after I spilled his whole treat container! He ate a bunch, but I cleaned most of them up for later.
Sometimes life seems to treat us well and other times not so well, but we always have a lot to be thankful for. And with the right perspective, we can stay thankful and keep using every blessing the right way.
1 Chronicles 29:14 says, “But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.”
As David and the people prepared for the building of the temple, they were thrilled just to be able to give back a little of what God gave them.
How do you view your time, your talent, and your treasure?
1 Chronicles 29:16 says, “O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.”
They got it: Everything they gave ultimately came from God. That’s true of us. Hopefully we’ll give back to God as willingly as they did.
And if life isn’t treating you very well right now, remember what Psalm 68:19 says:“Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.”
Our salvation is definitely something to get excited about! And if you take the time to notice, I think you’ll see a lot of those daily blessings that God loads our lives with too.
