There’s an app for that

What app on your phone do you use the most? Which one wastes most of your time? Any apps you forgot you even have?

There really are apps for a lot of different things. Some are helpful; others are pretty much a waste of time (and money!).

When we come to the Bible, we don’t have to say “there’s an app for that” (even though there is!), but we can find that, no matter what we are going through, there’s hope for that.

Psalm 121 shows that there is hope no matter what.

Verse 2 says, “My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” No matter how big of a problem we face, God is bigger.

Verse 3 says, “He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.” We don’t have to worry about sliding into the wrong situation since God is in control.

Verse 4 offers hope for bad days: “Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” Because God is “always on His A game” there’s hope for when we aren’t.

Verse 8 offers hope for wherever we go (and for when we don’t know whether to stay or go): “The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in”

I don’t know if you use a bunch of apps on your phone or not, but I hope we’ll all use the hope that God offers. No matter what life looks like for you right now, through Jesus, there’s hope for that.
