Well that’s gross!

The girls have been to the Fort Worth zoo many, many times, but this was the first time they actually remember. The other times were when they were less than 2 years old. We had a great time seeing all the animals (even the snakes!), but this snake that had just killed its dinner was extra gross! The snake wasn’t worried about eating its meal right then—it just killed it and saved it for later while it took a nap.

Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

The trap of sin is often that we don’t see the full consequences right away.

Sin might not eat you alive today, but it might kill off your effectiveness, your testimony, and any joy and peace God had planned for you to enjoy.

That rat didn’t stand a chance once it was put in the snake’s cage. And we don’t stand a chance as long as we allow sin to be a part of our lives. We aren’t going to be perfect, but with God’s help we can stay in the fight.
