The hope of Jesus’ birth

Merrry Christmas Eve Eve!

Do you like Scrabble? I usually can’t think of “the big words” when I play, but it’s been fun to start to teach it to the girls even though it’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the scrambled up letters.

I’m sure Mary, Joseph, and others might’ve thought something like “wait WHAT?”  about a lot of the seemingly random parts of Jesus’ birth and the events surrounding it. Some of the “letters” probably didn’t seem to fit. But master plans often aren’t revealed all at once. We couldn’t handle it all at once. But thankfully God can!

Notice Mary’s amazing trust in Luke 1:38: “And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.”

On the Scrabble box it says “Every letter counts.” What a great reminder!

So let every letter, every part of your life count as God spells out your story!

Merry Christmas!
