Looks like we’ll have to settle for a snow storm in a jar for our white Christmas this year but that’s OK!

Do you like snowstorms at Christmas? Maybe some snow next year here in Virginia, but we’ve definitely had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed trying this experiment.

I hope everything is merry and bright for you this Christmas, but the great thing is, Jesus offers peace and hope even through the stormy times.

Things surrounding Jesus birth weren’t easy. Mary and Joseph experienced a lot of things that were definitely not peaceful.

For example, Matthew 2:13 says, “And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.” Even in the midst of a run-for-your-life kind of storm, there’s peace and hope in following God’s plan (and in case you haven’t read your Bible in a while, spoiler alert: Jesus and His family come out just fine and make it back to Israel at just the right time).

Because of Jesus, we can have peace inside no matter what’s going on outside.
