Ever give a young child a present and then watch as they care more about the box it came in?!? Our 7 and 8 year olds had fun playing in that big box, but they are definitely old enough to expect good stuff as presents, not just a box!
Imagine leaving Christmas presents unopened. All year round! Most of us couldn’t stand it (some of us probably can hardly waits until December 25 as it is to open presents under the tree!🎄). We wouldn’t want to miss out, but sadly, many people missed out on Jesus when He came to earth over 2,000 years ago.
John 1:11-12 says this about Jesus when He came to earth: “He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
Jesus’ offer of salvation and a forever relationship is still available today. It’s really sad that many people are still missing out on the best part, on Jesus, today.
