Maybe a bit literal, but we all come to a fork in the road sometimes, a place where we have to pick which way we go.
John 6:5-6 says, “When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? 6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.” You might be familiar with this time when Jesus fed thousands of people miraculously using just one lunch a boy had brought.
Jesus used the uncertain situation to challenge Philip to trust Him. When we come to a decision, a fork in the road, Jesus whispers reassurance that we can trust Him.
Satan whispers doubts, trying to get us to question our faith.
At each “fork in the road” we have to decide which voice we’ll listen to.
