Power is there. If it’s not producing, it’s not the creek’s fault!

I love going to McCormick Farm and seeing this water wheel. I think I’ve only ever seen it running once, but the creek is flowing all the time. The power’s there; it just has to be tapped into.

Matthew 6:13b says, “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” If we’re part of God’s family, He loves to empower us to live this life the best way, the way He’s designed for us to live it.

As Ephesians 6:10 put it, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”

So if we’re not experiencing that power, if we’re just trying to kind of survive each day on our own, let’s ask ourselves why. God’s power is available to us. Maybe we need to get back in a close relationship with Him, or maybe we just need to start trying to get His power for His plan not our own plan.
