Crocs…in the pond at camp!😳😏 I’ll admit that if they were real I would probably freak out and run away (hopefully after making sure my wife and the teens were all safe first!), but since they’re fake, they can’t do anything.
Jeremiah 6:13-14 describes God’s view of the people of Israel thousands of years ago, but it also describes how empty our own search for peace apart from God is: “For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. 14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.”
Temporary “peace” based on fake stuff is actually a bad sign because it means we’re ignoring the real need instead of dealing with it. Real peace requires real solutions, God’s solutions, and that often means we have some real changes to make. But genuine peace is always worth it…and genuine peace only comes from God and a life lived His way.
