How to Stop Frantically Running from One Thing to Another

A squirrel napping during the day…that was a first for Jen the other day! You usually see squirrels running from one tree, one nut, one thing to another…to another frantically (sounds like a lot of us on Monday mornings!). I’m not sure what it takes for a squirrel to rest in the middle of the day, but I know how we can stop frantically running around and instead enjoy some peaceful rest.

We can rest because God never does. Psalms 121:4 says, “Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.” Psalm 121 also says “The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”

So the next time you’re feeling frantic, focus on your faith and let everything filter through that lens. It’ll all look a lot different! The beginning of Psalm 121 tells the secret to all of it: “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” If we’re gonna stop frantically running from thing to thing, we’ve gotta look to God. Constantly. Throughout each day. And then choose to trust that He’s got us.  Check out more encouragement:
