Proverbs 16:18 says, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” The destruction that pride brings often comes as a humiliating fall, but pride also causes us to fail to get God’s help which is one of the worst falls of all.
Let’s admit our need for God. Some people claim that faith in God is nothing more than a crutch to help get through the day, but God is the Healer Who offers to fix what’s broken and the loving Heavenly Father Who offers help and hope for our deepest needs. Let’s never allow pride to stop us from admitting our need for God.
