Big brush pile that needs to be burnt after it dries out: One more thing to do or the chance to have a fun bonfire? Guess it comes down to a choice!
This past weekend has been BUSY! My wife was able to park a second market truck at a new location to sell her jams and flowers…which meant I needed to finish it up quickly. Burden or blessing? We also had the privilege to have an outreach event at our church and see a lot of people come and hear the Gospel. We all got busy making it happen and saw God use it, but again it could be seen as a blessing or one more “burdensome” thing to do. Maybe our choice should be easy: As long as God keeps blessing us and never sees us as a burden, we should keep serving Him and other people and trying to always be a blessing to them.
2 Corinthians 9:8 says, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:” It’s easy to think hard work and a little extra caffeine are the things keeping us going, but we have a lot more than that behind us if we are a part of the “good work” God wants to do through our lives.
If we’ll choose to take the blessings God gives us and in turn pay it forward and be a blessing to others, God will make sure we have what we need to do the job.
