We’re very thankful Addison’s broken arm is healing well! She’s had the cast off and the pins out for a week and a half now, and she is slowly regaining range of motion as she stretches her arm out. It was in a cast for so long that it’ll take a process of stretches and exercises to get back to moving freely, but Jesus offers to free us immediately when we reach out to Him.
With Jesus, sinful cycles can be broken, addiction can end, and cycles of hopelessness and defeat can be reversed. In Luke 4:18, Jesus says, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,” Jesus offers freedom from every sin. We just have to be willing to reach out to Him in faith.
A lot of people are trapped in sin and don’t even realize it. Romans 6:16-18 says, “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” If you’ve never come to Jesus for salvation and freedom from sin, He’s waiting for you! If you are a Christian, reach out to Jesus every day for victory over sin and temptation. If you’re ok with wherever you’re at, you won’t grow; but if you’re willing to allow Jesus to set you free, the sky’s the limit!
