In this picture, both the clouds and the moon are reflecting the same sun, but they each look very different. Nothing deep, I know, but it illustrates a good point: What we reflect to others depends on us.
Reflecting God and His goodness is a daily choice. Psalms 78:4 says, “We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.”
The stakes are high. The rewards are big! Psalms 78:6-7 says, “That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: 7 That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:” It’s been said, “Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some person ever reads.” Do we make people want to know more about Jesus or less? How’s your reflection looking? Who’s your reflection pointing people to?
