It’s amazing that Addison bought that wheelchair and injury kit for her doll a few hours before she broke her arm! She’s had “Naomi” for years and they do look a lot alike. Even though Naomi can’t take Addison’s broken arm away, now she can be an extra comfort to Addison.
I would gladly take Addison’s broken arm myself if that meant she’d be healed, and that’s exactly what Jesus did for our sins. 1 Peter 2:24 says, “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” Jesus can definitely relate to the challenges we face, AND He’s the only one Who took our place, our sin, our spiritual death on Himself.
It really is great to have Someone that can relate to what we’re going through, and it’s absolutely amazing when that Someone is Jesus, the Creator and Savior, the Lord of all! He can relate to us at the deepest level and offers the only eternal solution to our greatest need.
