2 ice storms so far in December! I would’ve preferred about 2 feet of snow, but I’ll take all the winter weather I can get (especially now that our power is back on)! It was a lot of fun to watch these icicles grow throughout the day on Thursday, and that process gives us a great reminder.
How does an icicle grow? One drip, one freezing drop at a time. I was reading the Lord’s Prayer in Luke 11 and verse 3 stood out to me: “Give us day by day our daily bread.” Our relationship with Jesus begins the moment we accept His offer of salvation, but how’s does that relationship get strong? One day, one moment at a time! Every time we walk through a day with Him, see Him answer a prayer, provide for a need, or show us what to do in a tricky situation, our faith in Him grow’s a little bit.
How’s our faith get big enough to carry us through difficulties? One day of getting closer to Jesus at a time. How can you be merry this Christmas and the whole year long? One day, one moment with Jesus at a time.
