Patience Is a Virtue…That Most People Don’t Seem to Want!

4 days of travel. 5 states. 2 sides of the family visited, lots of fun! We had a great time with family last week, and this was really the only traffic backup we got into. Still, waiting can be the hardest thing sometimes, especially if you’re not very patient, like me!

Psalms 37:34 says, “Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.” Our situation might not be the exact same as Israel’s, but our need to wait on God sure is!  Even when things slow down or we hit some bumps in the road, let’s patiently “keep his way.” I could have gotten tired of waiting and tried to drive on the side of the road or through the median, but that would’ve only made things worse. Sometimes the only right thing is to wait…patiently…even if you don’t want to!

When the road gets rough, it’s OK to ask God if you’re going the right way, and it’s OK to ask why you have to go through that difficult period. But if He shows you that you’re on the right road, never choose a different way. We don’t wanna miss out on what He has around the next turn!
