No matter what your answer is to this question (or even if you are kind of sick of hearing this question), we probably all have days where we could use a little encouragement to look on the bright side. Probably my favorite answer ever came from one of my former teachers. He said when the glass is halfway, he’s glad that he gets to pour himself another glass! The real secret to staying positive and optimistic is to know where to find more of what we need.
Joshua 1:9 says, “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” God’s presence guarantees we have access to His help and provision as we step up for Him, and most important: We have God going with us no matter what we face.
Whether things in your life are looking half empty or half full, let’s recognize our need for God and realize He’s got plenty of help, hope, and encouragement to give us.
