I Could Do It Myself, But It’s WAY Better to Get to Work with My Girls!

I love sharing encouragement from God’s Word, and I gotta admit: It’s even more fun working on these devotionals with my girls! It might take longer and have more risk of a mess, but it’s totally worth it. These pictures are a behind-the-scenes look at a fun experiment we did for tomorrow’s devotional (hope you’ll check it out!), and today I wanna focus on the benefit of doing things with other people, of bringing them along with you on the journey.

Matthew 28:19-20 says, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Jesus gave what’s usually called the Great Commission, and I’ll admit I used to be confused why He said about teaching instead of just helping people get saved. Accepting Jesus as Savior is what gives us a forever home in heaven, but Jesus made it clear that’s only the beginning. We should all disciple other Christians, helping them to learn and grow.

I love when the girls notice fun illustrations of Bible truth in everyday life, and as much as I enjoy sharing God’s Word with everyone I can, it’s extra special when I get to serve God with my daughters and help them grow in their faith.

Investing in others is time-consuming and sometimes frustrating, but worth it. Who can you disciple today by helping them become more like Jesus?
