Yes, that is a tree growing out of our church chimney, complete with a bird checking it out and everything! One of our teens was up on the roof about a year ago and pulled out as much as he could reach, and we thought it was gone. But it grew back! I’m not exactly sure how far down the roots go, but it seems clear that things can grow even in difficult places as long as their roots have something good to attach to.
Ephesians 3:17-19 says, “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.”
God is BIG, and He wants your life to be rooted in Him so that you can grow wherever you are! If you’ve never begun a relationship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ, today would be a perfect day to make the best decision you could ever make. And if you have Jesus as your Savior, remember to stay connected to Him in every part of your life.
