This memory of our little bobblehead popped up on Facebook (my FB memories definitely got a lot more interesting once we had kids!). Fun Brooklyn memory and it reminds me of a great lesson.
During my senior year at Pensacola Christian College, Adrian Burden preached a message titled, “Weebles Wobble But They Don’t Fall Down.” He was referring to the toy that you can knock over but it always bounces right back up, and whether it’s our wobbly baby girl from 6 years ago or a wobbly toy, there’s a great spiritual reminder: Proverbs 24:16 says, “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.” As Christians, we may get knocked down and even fall on our own, but we don’t have to stay down. We. Can. Get. Back. Up. So whether it’s circumstances or your own sin that’s knocked you down, get back up and keep going with God’s help.
