Escalators Can Be Scary!

Addison had a great time doing extra laps up and down, but Brooklyn needed a little help (in her defense, the end of an escalator really does look like a long, flat set of teeth “eating” the escalator as you move toward it!). She was glad to be able to hold onto me (rather tightly!).

2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us that “we walk by faith, not by sight.” We see a lot of scary things around us that will make us want to grab ahold of something for help. Make sure it’s Jesus that we run toward and hold onto.

Even when everything we see around us seems bad, God’s still in control. The verses around verse 7 tell us that faith in God reminds us that He is in control and that even death is nothing worse than going home to heaven for a Christian.

What we see will sometimes tell us to give up, but faith shows us we can keep going.

Sight shows us everything that’s bad, but faith shows us good that nothing can ever take away.

Sight often gives us complaints but faith gives us hope to look forward to and  purpose to live for each day.
