Warhead challenge: Try to keep a straight face while eating a warhead candy…Addison won for sure! She looks bored because it was so easy for her. With the candy in her mouth, she even said, “I could do this in my sleep!” Different people react to warheads differently!
It’s probably no big deal whether or not you can keep a straight face while eating sour stuff, but how we respond to Jesus really does matter. You might know what the Bible says about a wee little man name Zacchaeus, and it’s amazing to compare his response to Jesus with the way others reacted. Luke 19:5-7 says, “And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. 6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. 7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.” Zacchaeus was so excited to see Jesus that he climbed a tree just to watch. “They” in verse 7 seemed to think they were right with God because of their outward religious acts and therefore not sinners like Zacchaeus. They rejected Jesus while Zacchaeus willingly placed his faith in the Savior and immediately got busy living out his new faith as verse 8 shows: “And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.” Verse 10 tells us that Jesus came “to seek and to save that which was lost.” Have you accepted His offer of salvation? If so, who can you tell about Jesus today?
Jesus went out of His way to spend time with Zacchaeus, and He’s done so much to have a relationship with you as well. How do you respond to Jesus?

Psalm 8:1 O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. 2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. 3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: 7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; 8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. 9 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
