For Those Who Don't Like Winter

I’m very excited about more snow tonight, but I found a solution for those of you who just want spring: Now, for less than $20 on Amazon, you can enjoy the feel of green grass on your toes all year round! I guess you could even have both at once by wearing these in the snow (I am not responsible for any frostbite that happens if you do!). No matter what weather you like best, I hope you can enjoy every season as it comes.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” That chapter then goes through a bunch of specific times and seasons of life, but the key to enjoying each is to remember that God is the One in control of all of it; let’s willingly cooperate with His schedule and plan instead of complaining through the tough or slow times. Life definitely doesn’t always happen how or WHEN I’d like it to, but, as Ecclesiastes 3:11a says, “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time.” There is good all around us, even in the difficult times of life. We can spend each season impatiently waiting for the next or enjoying the beauty God gives us all along the way.

It’s been said that, “Life is something like a doctor’s prescription: Taken alone, the ingredients might kill you, but properly blended, they bring healing.”

Maybe you can’t bring yourself to enjoy snow and winter, but we can all find joy, purpose, and meaning in every time and season God brings us to by remembering that He’s in control and has a good plan for everything He allows into our lives.
